Dust mites are GROSS! And they can be a real issue for allergy sufferers. Usually I just like to pretend they don’t exist, but it would be nice to try to help reduce the number of mites somehow. This article says that they can’t survive heat and that allowing more direct sunlight to come in all day will help get rid of these unwanted guests.
I can definitely start leaving my blinds open more to let the sunlight heat the bed and kill a bunch off. It didn’t say anything about using a hairdryer, but I can’t say my husband won’t come home to see me using a hair dryer on my mattress lol. Sounds like it could work, right?
