How to treat breakout pimples and acne scarring

For those of you with acne scarring and for those with breakout pimples (aka literally everyone ever), read on…

I’ve posted before about the Beautycounter products I use to improve my sons eczema (for the record – I recommend a combo of the Baby Daily Protective Balm & Hydrate Body Lotion – for all ages). I’ve also listed my recommendation for adolescent and adult chronic, acne prone skin (Charcoal Cleansing Bar + Lustro Face Oil #3 + Nourishing Day Cream).

Now I want to share my recommendation for dealing with breakout pimples as well as the scarring that many people have from past flare ups and acne.

Spot treatment:
To treat a blemish just dab a very small amount of the Purifying Charcoal Mask onto the area. After 10 minutes spritz it with our Rosewater Uplifting Spray, which reactivates the charcoal and adds moisture to gently remove the mask. It works because the charcoal draws oils, dirt and other harmful substances from clogged pores due to its absorption powers (charcoal can absorb 100 to 200 times its weight in impurities). The rosewater spray has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce the redness of irritated skin and help get rid of acne.

Scarring:
For those lingering acne scars use Countertime Enlightening Treatment Pads + Radiance Firming Complex + Lustro Face Oil #1. It works partly because the pads and firming complex both contain vitamin C, which can have a huge effect on scar pigmentation helping to fade scars. Not only does Vitamin C in general help to promote healing, but it also has a strong antioxidant effect on the body. The face oil contains calendula oil for healing scars as well.
