Have you heard of arnica and calendula?

Do you know anything about the anti-inflammatory, homeopathic remedies arnica or calendula? If not, read on and I promise you will thank me. I learned about them from a stranger and now I’m paying it forward.

Arnica is a natural pain reliever that helps relieve sprains and muscle pain, reduce bruising, improve carpal tunnel and treat arthritis. I have been using it for about a year and a half and I swear to you this gel heals my kids bruises in half the time.

Please be advised you should not use arnica on open wounds as it will burn. Instead, I use calendula on broken skin, which helps to promote healing. You can use it on cuts, scrapes, chafing, minor burns and sunburns.

I get both arnica and calendula from a company called Boiron off Amazon. Both are as safe as can be — midwives even use arnica on newborn babies to reduce inflammation and bruising from delivery.

Fun fact: Beautycounter uses calendula in many of our products as well to promote healing and skin health.
