Cell phone radiation and how to limit exposure without going off the grid

I think it’s safe to assume that our obsession with our phones (guilty!) will most likely prove to have negative health impacts. The current FCC laws regulating maximum cell phone radiation allowances are 16 years old and likely not enough to protect us. This article is very interesting (and kinda scary!).

From the article: “Studies conducted by numerous scientific teams in several nations have raised troubling questions about possible associations between heavy cell phone use and serious health dangers. The World Health Organization has declared that cell phone radiation may be linked to brain cancer. Ten studies connected cell phone radiation to diminished sperm count and sperm damage. Others raise health concerns such as altered brain metabolism, sleep disturbance and behavioral changes in children. These studies are not definitive. Much more research is needed. But they raise serious questions that cast doubt on the adequacy of the FCC rules to safeguard public health.”

If you’re like me you won’t be able to break up with your phone. So what can you do? The best you can! Take a look at the image below to learn how to minimize risk without going off the grid.

My sister-in-law puts hers on airplane mode at night. What other techniques do you use to mitigate risk and lessen exposure to radiation?
