Bottled water dangers and alternatives

It’s really a shame that the more we learn the less we trust, but it can also be a blessing. Knowledge is power and I intend to use everything I learn to make small changes in my life to have a big overall impact.

One place I have started to make changes it by limiting my bottled water usage. If you haven’t heard of the dangers take a look at this article for all the info. I have known not to have water bottles sit in my car when its hot due to toxic chemicals leeching into the water, but until a few months ago I was unaware of just how bad bottled water is in general – not just when heated. I will not lie — I most definitely will still use water bottles, but I will make a concerted effort to limit our usage now.

Alternatives – I use the Thermos brand stainless steel sippy cups for my kids and I just purchased the Ello Syndicate glass water bottle on Amazon to use for my water mixed with lemon essential oil every morning. I fill it with my Bottleless Water Cooler from XO Water. It connects to my water line in my kitchen and is hands down the safest and best tasting water I can get my hands on. It was undoubtedly one of the best things we did when we moved into our house over two years ago. We don’t have fluoride in our water here in LI (thankfully!), but if you are in an area that fluoridates your water you can buy the reverse osmosis add-on for the cooler that removes the fluoride. I have posted about the dangers of fluoride before, but since then it has been officially classified as a neurotoxin in the worlds most prestigious medical journal. Take a look at this article for more information.
