Welcome to my site

My name is Stacy Keener and I am a wife, a mom and a consultant for Beautycounter. I am on an on-going quest to detoxify my home from my cleaning products and food to personal care products. This site will be where I go to post the interesting articles and blogs I find along the way as well as my recommendations for amazing products. I will post about many company’s products, but of course I will have a heavy focus on Beautycounter. I will feature information on our products, mission, events and promos. I am passionate about the Beautycounter products and the company’s mission to get safe products in the hands of everyone.

I am so happy to have a platform to share the knowledge I obtain during my research and trial-and-error of new products. I am focused on trying to live a cleaner life by removing toxins, GMO’s and hormones whenever possible so that my family and I can grow up happy, healthy and well informed.

While I do believe my interests are “healthy obsessions”, I don’t get crazy about this stuff and I try to always find a balance in life. We eat out often and roll around on gym floors on a regular basis and I do not lose sleep over GMOs and germs. We only get to live this life once and I am not going to lose my mind over it all! Furthermore, this group is not limited to green living; I plan to post anything and everything that I think you would be interested in reading. I hope the information I share is helpful, fun, interesting and keeps you entertained.

If you are interested in any of the Beautycounter products on this site, or my personal site beautycounter.com/stacykeener, please contact me at beautycounterbystacy@gmail.com. I thank you for your time and interest!

-Stacy

More about BEAUTYCOUNTER:

OUR MISSION

To get safe products into the hands of everyone.

Decades of studies indicate that serious health issues (including, but not limited to asthma, learning disabilities, cancer and infertility) are on the rise, and due in some part to our ongoing exposure to toxic chemicals—whether it’s in the shower, on our commute, while we eat lunch at a local restaurant, or when we clean our kitchens at home.

There are more than 80,000 chemicals on the market today. Many don’t have any safety data. This is particularly true of those used in the skin care and beauty industry.

Only about 10% of the 10,000 chemicals commonly found in personal care products have safety data.

What’s worse is the Food and Drug Administration (the agency that regulates cosmetics) allows companies to use chemicals known to be extremely harmful (lead, formaldehyde, and phthalates) in the products we put on our bodies and on our kids every single day, day after day.

IT’S TIME FOR A CHANGE.

The United States has not passed a federal law to regulate the ingredients used in personal care products since 1938.

The European Union has spent the past two decades banning or restricting more than 1,300 ingredients, the US has only banned 11 to date.

WE DESERVE BETTER, AND WE’RE DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

At Beautycounter, we’ve banned more than 1,500 ingredients setting a new health and safety standard—

all while ensuring our products perform, and that they’re as indulgent as any luxe shampoo, lipstick or oil in the market.

It’s not easy work, but it’s well worth it.

This is about progress—not perfection. Because every little bit counts.

Beautycounter Testimonials

Last night, BEFORE I even tried my new Countertime regimen, I threw away every skincare product in my bathroom. Creams, cleaners, toners, all of it – because I was so excited to be getting rid of the chemicals. A few hours later I tried your products for the first time. Before they even had a chance to soak into my skin (and obviously before I could feel any results), I was already hooked. I just felt like I was doing something good for myself knowing it was all safe and natural. I just used the regimen for the second time this morning and I’m so pleasantly surprised because normally I have to allow my sensitive skin to adjust to one new product at a time and I used the entire Beautycounter Countertime line at once and my skin feels amazing!! Thank you!!

-Michelle M. from Woodbury, NY

My daughter (Emma, age 4) has ridiculously dry skin, so I have to do a bath every other day for her now. However she never lets me put lotion on without complaining, so I told her we got the Hydrate Body Cream from our friend, Stacy, on her hands first. She let me since she trusted Stacy, and to my delight after I applied it to her hands she loved it! She said its “way better than what I usually put on” and she loves the smell. Yay!! That was enough to get her to try my Everyday Clean Shampoo and Everyday Rinse Conditioner. Her long hair was amazingly knot free (unheard of for Emma!) and I was very happy to not have her sitting in a bath of not so good stuff like I have used in the past in order to be able to brush her hair. I could not be happier. I feel like the best mom! Thank you so much!!!!

-Tiffany S. from Port Washington, NY

I have lived with eczema my whole life and have never found a product that helped my hands the way the Beautycounter Citrus Mimosa Hand Cream has. I love the smell!! The Hydrate Body Lotion is helping my son’s dry winter skin so much and the Face Oil is simply luxurious. I am so happy I decided to try these products. I think I want to become a consultant!

-Caroline B. from Towaco, NJ

I just tried the Beautycounter “soothing face wash“. It was so incredibly smooth and cleansing, easy to rinse etc. love it! Thank you Stacy. Can’t wait to try other products!

-Linda S. from Muttontown, NY

“I am so IN LOVE with Beautycounter’s Hydrate lotion! For the past two years or so I have been using 2 big name products for eczema, at the direction of my doctor, on my chest and neck. The “flare up” medicine is good, but I was using it daily and it had bad stuff in it. Then my good friend, Stacy, was raving about the Hydrate lotion she used on her kids. I decided to purchase the lotion and use it on my eczema and it worked! I am so happy I found a solution that doesn’t include harmful ingredients like BHT, parabens and who knows what else! Non-toxic, Hydrate lotion is AMAZING and I cannot wait to try more Beautycounter products!”

-Deanne T. from Katy, TX

“Elated to receive my products last week-and my skin has been thanking me since I began using Beautycounter! Stacy Spivack Keener-thank you for going above and beyond for this busy Mama, arriving at my house arms full of product and personally guiding me through the selection process is what makes you a dedicated, passionate advocate. You are not just selling product-you are encouraging people to self-care and self-love, while gently nudging us towards a clean eating, clean living lifestyle. Lucky to call you friend…..I will post some before and after pics in a few weeks.”

-Blair S. from Hicksville, NY

“Ok, I have to share my latest BeautyCounter obsession. The shampoo and conditioner are amazing!! I have very curly frizzy hair that required weekly blowouts. Now I am so excited that this summer I can wear my hair naturally! “Clean” and “Rinse” have made my hair softer, significantly less frizzy and have given my curls better shape!! Thanks Stacy!!!”

-Michelle M from Woodbury, NY

Ok. I know I always post about health, beauty, fitness blah blah blah. BUT I HAVE FOUND THE MOST EPIC PROdUCTs!!!!! Thanks to Stacy who introduced me to this ALL NATURAL Brand I’m hooked. There’s no getting around it – I may lose my rouge standing with Sephora over this but I have to say – WORTH IT!!!!! Their charcoal beauty bar is LIFE CHANGiNG and their creams are to die for. Oh did I mention it’s ALL NATURAL. Beauty Counter is my latest and greatest obsession and like coconut oil and turmeric, I think it’s going to be an on going love affair. Check it out for yourselves (no i don’t get a kick back I am genuinely excited about this and had to spread the word).
